My walk to work every morning has several very wonderful bits, the best of which would be Mrs Smile. I see her every morning, going the other way and every morning she has a very warm, gentle smile. The smile that shows the person is happy and they wish you the best for the day just because. No hidden agenda, no snide, no hostility, just the wish that my day goes well.
Every morning on my walk to work, the second highlight of my day, and it always works.
Give it a try, the person whose day you lighten will go on to lighten someone else. A little less hostility, a little less anger, who knows, maybe we can all have a good start to the day.
